Leranings in Knowledge Management

1. We communicate 'information' to one another. We do not communicate 'knowledge' to one another. It becomes knowledge to the person (i.e. listner) only when he absorbs it.
2. The process of converting information into knowledge is 'learning'.
3. In the learning process, we are understanding the information we are receiving, analysing it, storing/retrieving, unconciously codifying, comparing with previous information we have, filtering and believing.
4. The information comes to us in different forms - verbal, body language, observing, through senses.
5. Knowledge resides in us. Only humans have knowledge in heads. We call it as tacit knowledge. When we share this knowledge, it is explicit knowledge.
6. Information can be communicated in secoonds. Knowledge takes time.
7. Collaboration is working in a team to achieve common objective.
8. We want best knowledge, so that we can make best decisions
9. Knowledge changes over time. Wisdom is timeless
10. Knowledge Management is not a project with start and end. Knowledge Management is journey. It is a lifestyle.
